The first phase of this new workshop will train our REALTOR members on how to use local and state down payment assistance programs. Phase two will consist of a traveling first time homebuyer workshop focused on providing education about these programs and create opportunities for the community to familiarize themselves with all DAP programs.

The California Association of REALTORS recently in met in San Diego for of their scheduled meeting and one of the highlights was a presentation by Luis Mendoza, President of the NHORA San Diego Chapter.
NHORA San Diego leadership spent most of the day on Tuesday January 26th to fianalize their staregic plan for the San Diego area.
The leadership understands that San Diego also covers Chula Vista, an area that has been devastated by the current housing market and there are plans to create educational oportunities for those communites hit hardest.
NHORA of Santa Clara County joined forces with the Santa Clara County Housing Trust and the City of San Jose Housing department to launch a series of Homebuyer Education Seminars on Neighborhood Stabilization Program Funds and other down payment assistance opportunities
